2 cottages, formerly one. Late C19 with C20 additions, by Alfred Waterhouse.
Red brick, some first floor tile hanging on addition to west, decorative band
between floors consisting of 2 strings with diagonal projecting headers
between, and alternating brick and tile window heads. Toothed verges to
old tile roof, gabled semi dormer with segmental headed 2-light casement to
south in western wing, central ridge stack with oversailing top, and end
stack to north. T-plan with later additions. 1 1/2 storeys. South front:
first floor 3-light segmental headed casement in gable end, ground floor
4-light segmental headed casement below, and one-storey lean-to to left.
Ground floor 2-light segmental headed casement set back to left. C20
one-storey addition to right with porch, half glazed door and two 2-light
casements. West front: first floor 3-light segmental headed casement in
gable end to right and ground floor 4-light segmental headed casement
below, first floor 2-light casement in C20 gabled wing projecting to
left with door below. Included for group value.
