barns. Mid and late C18. Coursed and squared limestone with
conventional and patent pantile roofs. Concrete and rubble plinths, coped
gables. 2 storeys, 3 bays, L-plan. North barn has a pair of close
boarded doors, both with wooden lintels. Between the doors, and to right,
a small rectangular opening. Above, 3 pitch holes. North side has a
near-central square hatch and above, to right, a gabled cross eaves
dormer with a loading door. West gable has a C20 door to right and a
central slatted casement above. West barn has to the right a full height
cart passage. To the left a stable door with slatted overlight, and to
its right, a slatted casement. The rear has a blocked doorway with
overlight and above, to right, a pitch hole. Both barns have a principal
rafter roof with double butt purlins and collars.
