Detached Farmhouse. c.C16 open hall, ceiled in C17. Rubble stone
walls with stone quoins. Thatch roof, gabled at left hand and
half-hipped at right hand. Brick stacks at left hand gable and
right hand ridge. 1½ storeys. 3 windows, 2-light wooden
casements with glazing-bars, C19. Front door, left of centre,
plank with 2 top lights, C2O. C20 rubble-stone extension at right
angles (left hand), with a corrugated iron roof, not of special
interest. Interior: east end room, first floor: jointed-cruck
construction with collar beams immediately above ceiling level,
large cruck-posts. Ground floor, brick-jambed fireplace, with a
chamfered wooden lintel, stopped. Large chamfered ceiling-beam
with filleted stops.
