Blanket mill, c.1820. Squared and coursed limestone with brick walling to gable
ends; stone-coped Welsh-slate roof. 4 storeys; symmetrical 6-window range.
Concrete lintel over plank double doors to left and flat stone arch over central

fulling, weaving and spinning processes under one roof. Shafts and wheels for
belts remain, but mill-wheel has gone. The earliest surviving industrial
building of Richard Early and Sons Ltd. of which it remains a part. Flanking
wings are not of special architectural interest.
