Bridge over River Aire. c1775 by John Gott,County Surveyor of Bridges.
Dressed stone. 4 segmental arches with triangular-shaped cutwaters above
which are slightly projecting piers with same to abutments. Band and parapet
with chamfered coping, that to north bank abutment extended probably mid C20.
The surface of the bridge has stone sets in which are laid 3 rows of long
flagstones. In 1774 a previous bridge was destroyed by a flood and the present
bridge replaced it the following year.
