Station House, now in commercial use. c.1846 picturesque style with
ornamental timber frame patterning and pebbledash infill. Steeply
pitched roofs with modern tiles, tall grouped brick chimneys with
diagonal shafts and corbelled heads. 1 and 2 storeys, elevation to
platform has gable on RH with ornamental bargeboard and finial, modern
casement with dripmould to 1st floor, hipped roofed porch below, 1 storey
part to LH with door and 3 light mullion and transome window. Lean-to
verandah on RH giving access to 1 storey booking hall. Flank elevation
to road has large gable on LH with projecting stack in centre and ornamental
bargeboard, lower gable to RH with timber patterning, bargeboard and finial,
Rear elevation has another gable with ornamental bargeboard and finial,
first floor section projecting to RH. Attached to rear elevation lan
enclosing wall linked to 2 small gabled outbuildings.
