House now bank. Mid C18. Painted stucco with modillioned cornice on moulded
plinth. Graduated greenslate roof with rebuilt brick chimney stacks. 2
storeys, 4 bays with further bay to right over archway. 5 steps to 4-panel door
in dentilled and ornamented pedimented Doric doorcase with panelled reveals.
Sash windows with glazing bars in painted stone architraves, those on ground
floor with dentilled cornices. Segmental archway has alternate block surrounds,
the lower part with cast-iron bollards to prevent wear. Side wall under archway
has lintel of earlier house over window inscribed I. & F.B. 1674 with coat of
arms. C20 extension to rear is not of interest.
