ST 67 NE PUCKLECHURCH C.P. SHORTWOOD ROAD (south side)

Tollhouse, now house. Early C19 with C20 alterations. Coursed rubble with
double Roman tiled hipped roof. Gothic style. Single storey octagonal building,
north elevation has central 4-centred arched door with raised fillets and
relieving arch, to each side 2 small 2-light casements with Y-tracery, leaded
lights, 4-centred arched head and relieving arch; to right a contemporary lower
wing with one similar window without Y-tracery. Right return has one similar
window and C20 lean-to porch; left return has 2 similar windows, to right with
Y-tracery and leaded lights, to left only with leaded lights. Interior: not
inspected.
