The Cottage
GV II
Cottage. C16. Cruck timber framed with white painted brick nogging
and some plaster infil panels; half hipped thatched roof, 2 dormers
with 2-light C19 casements, and ridge stack off-centre to left. 4 cruck
frame bays. Open hall with later inserted floor. One storey and attic.
Five 2-light casements, C20 gabled thatched porch between third and
fourth windows from left, with boarded door. Interior: Circa 1600
inserted floor, and stack with bread oven. Some smoke-blackened roof
timbers.
