Circa 1855 substantial 5 bay stucco Italianate villa of 2 tall storeys to front
(allowing 3 in gable ends). Narrow central entrance bay slightly recessed. Plinth,
ground floor arcade rusticated up to impost string; first floor entablature with
panelled frieze, the cornice breaking forward as sills to first floor windows; bed
mould to main frieze with long panels of rosettes; moulded cornice carried across
front, supported on decorated brackets over central recess, blocking course over.
Low slate roof, corniced stucco chimney to south. The ground floor windows are set
in archivolt arched arcade, moulded bases to piers on breaks in plinth; the impost
moulding is carried in over doorhead with similar but broader keystone arch over
fanlight; double panelled doors. Sash windows with arched glazing bars and plate
glass; first floor windows have panelled architrave surrounds with corner blocks
and cornices over. Flanks have first floor entablature returned with scrolled
volutes supporting pair of external chimney breasts. First floor window on north
side has same frame as those on front plus segmental pediment. A screen wall to
coach house with yard entrance extends to south.
