Tower windmill, now store. Probably late C18 or very early C19; altered.
Handmade brick enclosing timber frame. Conical basement and 4 stages. In
the north east segment, a wide segmental arched wagon entrance to the
basement, on the north side a plain doorway to the 1st stage, and above this
square segmental-headed windows to each stage variously offset (all blocked);
east side has a similar blocked window to 1st stage; west side has windows to
each stage, all blocked or reduced; south side has a doorway to the Ist stage
altered as a window, and blocked, and 2 blocked windows above.
Superstructure missing.
Interior; timber frame of central pillars carrying massive moulded saddle
beams which support the floors of the 1st and 2nd stages apparently
independent of the brick shell; 2nd stage retains original vertical drive
shaft, large iron cogwheels, and 3 sets of grindstones.
