GV II

House, now shop. c1800, altered C19 and C20. Squared coursed
sandstone. Roof of slates at least partly replaced by
corrugated sheeting. 3 storeys and 3 bays. On the ground floor
is a timber shop front of c1900 with carved brackets to each
side of the fascia. The upper windows are sashed without
glazing bars in painted stone surrounds. The chamfered quoins
to the right were probably added in the mid or late C19 when
what is now the rear wing of the City Museum (qv) was built.
