House, now part of Staple Hall nursing home (q.v.). Late C18, with earlier
origins. Squared and coursed limestone, with coursed rubble to earlier walling
on right; hipped stone slate roof; brick internal stacks. Double-depth plan. 3
storeys; 2-window range. Timber lintels over C20 door and 6-pane sashes. Right
side wall has similar sashes and late C19 ashlar bay window, of 2 storeys with
tripartite sash; similar sashes to rear. Interior: open fireplace, with C20
lintel, to left. C18 wine cellar to right.
