8/136 Bury Hill Farmhouse

Farmhouse. C18 with C20 alterations. Rubble, rendered below ground floor level
and to rear and left return, brick, double Roman tiled mansard roof with raised
coped verges and brick gable stacks. U-plan, symmetrical front. 2 storeys and
3 windows, all 2-light casements with wave-moulded mullions and flat surrounds,
central C20 brick gabled porch and door. Right return has 2-light attic window
with timber lintel, ground floor C20 window; rear wing has ground floor casement
as on front and first floor C20 window. Left return has 2-light attic window as
on front, rear wing with ground and first floor window as on front. Both rear
wings have mansard roofs, varied windows and doors with segmental heads, single
storey lean-to to right wing. Internal: not inspected.
