c.1620 farmhouse on a moated site. Plan of three bays and lobby
entry with wing to rear. Timber framed, roughcast rendered with
soft, red brick to part of west wall. Plain tiled roof and
original ridge stack with grouped shafts. Two storeys. Four
flush wood frame windows at first floor. Entry, opposite
stack. The gabled wing to the east is also timber framed and
roughcast rendered and was probably the stairturret. Modern
addition to north. Interior. Ground floor rooms have
intersecting main beams with double cyma moulding. Two abutting
sealed inglenooks. One reset C17 staircase in south, ground
floor room. Closed string with square newel posts and moulded
rails.
