House, now shop. C18 front to C16 core. Brick; stone rubble;
timber-frame; shallow pitched slate roof; small brick end
stack and stack to rear.
3-storeys and cellar; 3-window range: C20, 6/6 sashes in
earlier moulded cases under segmental arches, and to right,
late C19, 6/6 sash in earlier moulded case under oak lintel;
storey band; 2 early C19, 3/6 sashes in moulded cases with
cambered heads, under segmental arches. Central late C19
shopfront with C20 half-glazed door and flanking plate glass
windows, set between earlier pilasters; overlight; to left,
late C19, 4-panel door and overlight, in doorcase with plain
pilasters; to right, plank double doors and blocked overlight
in coved frame, with grooved stucco lintel and quoins; heavy
fascia hood with scrolled fluted consoles, overall.
Left returned side of rubble with stucco quoins to return;
brick blocked entrance; wood mullion single light under oak
lintel, and brick blocked, oak framed opening with fixed light
over; sandstone quoins; C18 brick superstructure.
Rear elevation displays some light close studding with brick
infill. C17 rubble range to rear with plain tile roof; 4-light
moulded wood mullion and transom window, partly plastered.
Left returned side has timber-framing with C18 and C19 brick
infill, and part-glazed C19 double doors in oak frame.
INTERIOR: C16 moulded ceiling frame with diagonal stop moulded
joists; blocked corner fireplace.
