Flats. Circa 1720, top storey C19. Brown brick, red dressings and quoins. 4 storeys
6 double-hung sashes in surrounds with flat arches on 1st and 2nd floors. Ground
floor: high cement plinth, continuous frieze and cornice over windows, right hand
carriageway. Brick bands at floor levels, modillion and cyma recta wooden cornice
over 2nd floor, top storey stucco. Interesting yard front, weather-boarded, with
1st floor wood balustrading, formerly open, now backed by boarding. Ground floor
contains Eton Society ("Pop" ) rooms, entered by wooden steps with balustrading.
Gulliver's and Gulliver's End, St Christopher's, Old St Christopher's,
Hodgson's House, Premises occupied by Alden and Blackwell and Carter
House form a group.
