Cottage, one of group of 5 Farington Almshouse Trust Cottages with
Nos. 92, 94, 96, 98 (q.v.). Brick with graded slate roof. Rectangular
plan, symmetrical, 1½ storeys, gable chimney stacks (that on the left
projecting and breaking through the eaves at the apex). Gabled porch
with round-arched opening, and wavy bargeboards with finial. One
3-light casement window each side of door, with chamfered brick head and
straight drip-mould above; 2 gabled attic dormers with 2-light casements,
wavy bargeboards and finials. Similar bargeboards to overhanging eaves
of gables. Small diamond-shaped painted hatchment attached at 1st floor
level of chimney stack at left end.
