House. Early C18, modern small SE 2 storeys wing linking to
former C18 bakehouse. 2 storeys and attic, timber-framed,
plastered, facing N. Gabled old red tiled roof carried down as
catslide over central rear staircase and flanking shallow rooms.
Symmetrical 2 room plan with central passage now thrown into E
room and side entrance provided on E. Kitchen at SW in rear
part. Lateral chimneys to each part, E stack with 1 flue: W
stack with 3 flues, 1 for kitchen fire. Ladder access to loft
from head of stair. Small iron casement with rectangular leaded
glazing survives on W end. An area of weatherboarding on the W
end suggests that the sides were similarly clad. Symmetrical 2
window front with panelled fan pargetting above a brick base. The
front eaves have a bell-cast above and a projecting plastered
soffit. 3-light C19 small paned casements. Central door
replaced by matching 2-light window. Single storey tiled
timberframed weatherboarded bakehouse now part of house with
brick oven, domed internally, forming SE part of building. W
side infilled in red brick with modern window.
