Former house, used as a retirement home for seafarers at time of Listing, later converted to flats. Late 1860's.C. Sherlock. Extensions to north of 1883-4, E. George. Rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings and slate roof. Irregular plan, 2 storeys with attic. Several projecting gabled bays, those to earlier part have breaking-forward centres and lancets in gables, those to later part have 2 light windows in gables. Windows of 2 and 3 lights are double chamfered; those to later part have transoms. Entrance on right return in gabled porch. Interior has panelled entrance hall and stair hall with co ed ceiling and top light, rich balusters and fine stone chimney piece with 2 arched recesses to over mantel.
