Wycliffe Memorial
II

Memorial to John Wycliffe, (1324-84). Dated June 1897. Stone
with marble panels. Obelisk on granite plinth with four steps
to higher rough-hewn granite plinth to stepped pedestal.
Panelled foot with inscriptions, coved knop and tall obelisk
above. Inscribed 'John Wycliffe/ Born 1324/ Died 1384/ Rector
of Lutterworth/ from 1374 to 1384.' Further inscriptions
relate to the erection of the memorial.
