Terrace of 11 houses. In street leading into Myddelton Square
from the west. c.1828. William Chadwell Mylne, Surveyor to the
New River Estate. Yellow stock brick set in Flemish bond with
banded stucco ground-floor and stucco dressings; Welsh and
artificial slate mansard roofs to nos. 20-23, others obscured,
brick party-wall stacks. Side-hall entrance plan. Three
storeys (2 storeys to no. 24) with basement; 2 windows each.
Symmetrical terrace: no. 18 to centre includes carriageway and
breaks forward slightly. Steps rise to round-arched
architraved entrance to left: doorway with attached fluted
Doric columns carrying corniced-head, fanlight (nos. 14-16,
19-23 patterned) and original panelled door to nos. 16, 18-19,
21-22, 23-24. Gauged brick flat-arched 6/6 sashes throughout;
most ground-floor sashes with curved and radial glazing bars
and margin lights. 1st floor stucco sill band beneath
full-length sashes set in arched recesses and linked by stucco
impost bands and with individual iron balconies. Stucco band
beneath stucco cornice and blocking course; no. 15 altered.
Attached iron railings with urn and acorn finials.
