GV II

Late C18 range of shops with accommodation over. Rendered and
colourwashed brick. Slate roof. 3 storeys in 4 wide bays, each
storey divided by a platband. Square carriage entrance left of
centre. No.22 is former butcher's shop, with a late C19 sash
display window with 2/2 glazing bars. Half-glazed entrance
door right. Left is a C20 door with panelled reveals leading
to flat above. C20 sash right of this, no glazing bars. Left
of carriage arch is No.24. Mid C19 plate-glass display window
with, left, a half-glazed door in panelled reveals. First
floor with a tripartite sash left with 8/8 glazing bars, and
three 8/8 plain sashes. Four 3/3 sashes to second floor, that
to south replaced. Paired mutule eaves cornice under shallow
gabled roof. 2 gault brick stacks. The rear of No.22 has a
2-storey outshut carrying 2 red brick stacks. No.24 has
2-storey gabled cross wing, concrete C20 tiles and a cut-down
stack. Fenestration mostly 8/8 sashes in flush frames.
