Circa 1768. The Donnington Wood canal was built when the Earl Gower and Company
was formed in 1764. Lord Gower was the Duke of Bridgewater's brother-in-law and
later Marquess of Stafford whose son became the Duke of Sutherland in 1833.
Brick segmental arched bridge with arched stone string course. The parapet is
missing and C19 iron railings have been substituted.
