Coach house and attached gate piers. c1770, with C19
additions. Coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and
hipped slate roof with single rear wall brick stack. Plinth,
quoins, first-floor band and eaves band.
2 storeys; 3-window range. South front has a projecting
central square tower, 3 stages, with a mounting block at the
base. First floor has a single segment-headed opening, and the
floor above has a similar smaller opening to each face. Above
again, an octagonal 2-storey cupola, with a circular clock
dial to each of the major faces. Above, 4 bell openings with
louvre shutters, the whole topped with a leaded ogee cap.
Ground-level return angle has a doorway leading to a stone
winder stair. On either side, single boarded windows, and
below, single segment-headed carriage entrances with double
plank doors. Attached to the east side, a pair of square
rusticated ashlar gate piers.
