GV II*

Tower windmill. c1821 on site of earlier mill; restored 1951
and 1987. Magnesian limestone rubble, the base with brick
dressings and the tower rendered. High round reefing stage
base with blocked, round-headed doorways with brick arches in
N and W, and metal doors to similar arches in S and E in base;
high tapered tower has blocked doors at E and W, windows at 3
levels with wood lintels to boarded first and casements with
glazing bars on upper floors. Restored domed cap has sails and
fantail.
INTERIOR intact, the most complete in the region.
