Gate piers and walls to courtyard to
north of The Old Ship Aground

Gate piers and walls. Early C18 piers, probably C19 walls.
Painted ashlar piers and capping to wall, rubblestone walls.
The piers to double gates have plinths, string courses, rich
cornices and swept caps which support ball finials with
central dentilled bands. The C19 rubblestone walls, extending
3m to the left, lowered to the centre with railings, and 10m
to the right with 3 panels of railings, have chamfered
capping.
