Pair of attached houses. c1780. Stucco with limestone
dressings, party wall stacks and pantile mansard roof.
Double-depth plan. Late Georgian style. Each of 3 storeys,
attic and cellar; 1-window range. A symmetrical pair with
pilaster strips to a coping; outer ashlar doorways have
semicircular arches and bracketed cornices, metal fanlights
and 6-panel doors. No.14 has a mid C19 ashlar canted bay with
keys and parapet; 6/6-pane horned sashes in flush frames,
larger on the first floor; 1 dormer each. INTERIOR: No.14, a
rear side dogleg winder stair with stick balusters and column
newels, panelled shutters, and 2 brick vaulted cellars.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached cast-iron front basement area
railings and gates with urn finials.
