Boundary wall. 1848. Squared dressed Portland block. Very
lofty enclosing wall with series of raised sections, runs from
north to south for 26 bays divided by flat pilasters, and
returns towards Gatehouse (qv) with 2 further bays, total
length c 520m. Rises c 7m, and c9m in raised sections. With
the boundary wall to the north of Grove Road (qv), and the
walls to the Church and School group (qv), this is a
significant visual element of this street.
