House. Mid C18 with C19 alterations and extensions. Dressed
coursed rubble with some rendering. South side has ashlar quoins
to the left. Slate roof, single right gable and 2 ridge red
brick and rendered stacks. Stone coped left gable with kneeler.
Set on a plinth. L-plan, 2 storeys, 5 bays, the right bay being
slightly recessed. 2 storey C19 canted bay with 1st floor sill
band and flush lintel bands, having central glazing bar French
window flanked by single narrow, low, glazing bar sashes. Left
of the bay is a single glazing bar sash with flush ashlar
surround. Right of the bay is a single, smaller glazing bar sash
with flush ashlar surround. Above, in the C19 bay, is a single
glazing bar sash flanked by similar, narrower, single glazing bar
sashes. To the left of the bay is a single glazing bar
Yorkshire sash and further left a single small glazing bar sash,
both with flush ashlar surrounds. To the right of the bay is a
single, similar glazing bar sash and surround, further right in
the recessed portion, is a single larger glazing bar sash with
flush splayed red brick lintel and ashlar keystone. The rendered
west side with ashlar quoins has a canted wooden bay with glazing
bar sashes and a wooden modillion cornice. Above is a single
glazing bar sash in wooden frame. To the left is a narrow single
storey rendered extension with ashlar coped parapet. The north
facing side, with projecting C20 ground floor rendered red brick
extension on an ashlar plinth, has a doorway with C20 double,
glazing bar door with glazing bar overlight flanked by single
marginal sashes. To the right are 3 small fixed lights, to the
left is a single glazing bar sash. Above is a single glazing bar
sash. Projecting from the left is a 2 storey rendered coursed
rubble and slate 5 bay early C19 wing, with 2 gable and single
ridge red brick stacks. Set on a plinth. 4 glazing bar sashes,
with 5 similar sashes above, all in plain wooden frames.
