House in row. C20 front incorporating C18 windows, to C17 main fabric; C18 rear extension. Painted brick front, timber-framed body, tile roof, brick stack. Right-angle plan: the wide-gabled rebuilt front on a timber-framed structure, plus a further brick wing with mansard roof.
Three storeys, two-windowed. Good tripartite 4:12:4-pane sashes at first and second floors, to rendered lintels. Ground floor has a very deep C20 fascia over C19 pilasters to two modern plate glass shop fronts with a glazed door. The back is in heavy braced framing with brick panels, and a rear wing has a steep gable incorporating a queen-post roof truss with brick infill. Beyond this is a brick-nogged light timber-framed wing with tension bracing and a tiled mansard roof and cropped gable stack.
INTERIOR: the ground floor has been opened up, and has a row of posts to a chamfered longitudinal beam. Inside the display window the last jowled post retains a jetty bracket. Upper floors not inspected. Said to have old stone cellar which was not available for inspection on review.
