House, now attached pair. Late C18. Render with limestone
dressings, gable stacks and a pantile hipped roof.
Double-depth plan. Late Georgian style. 3 storeys and
basement; 7-window range. A symmetrical front has full-height
canted 3-light bays, cornice and a moulded parapet coping. The
doorway has pilasters to an entablature and pediment, and
4-panel mid C19 door. A C20 doorway is inserted in the edge of
the bay to the left. Keyed bay windows with cambered heads to
horned plate-glass sashes, 3/6-pane second-floor sashes,
central semicircular-arched windows with first-floor 6/6-pane
and second-floor 3/6-pane sashes with interlacing heads.
INTERIOR: central hall with rear dogleg stair with column
balusters, and panelled shutters. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES:
attached front steps, railings and capped piers.
