New Liston and Tregantle

GV II

2 houses at end of row. Mid/late C19. Incised stucco on
masonry, hipped concrete tile roof with projecting eaves over
a modillion cornice; C20 axial brick stack; cast-iron ogee
gutter. Double-depth plan: No.1 on left with 2 rooms at the
front, No.2 with 1 room at the front. 2 storeys; overall
symmetrical 5-window range. Original 4-pane hornless sashes.
No.1 is nearly symmetrical 3-window range with doorway
slightly left of centre; both have similar round-headed
pilastered doorways with moulded and carved keyblocks;
consoles and entablature over the moulded cornice linked to
mid-floor string; 6-panel doors with raised-and-fielded
panels; plain fanlights; ground-floor windows with elliptical
heads and within moulded architraves and sills on brackets.
INTERIORS not inspected but likely to be of interest.
