House, now divided into flats. c1890, subsequently rendered.
Builder J.T.Chapell. Render over brick with terracotta
detailing, steeply pitched hipped tile roof, deep overhanging
eaves, tall stacks rising on returns. Plan: double-fronted. 4
storeys plus attic over basement, 2:1:3 bays, canted bay
rising through eaves to terminate as balcony to
segmental-headed tripartite window set in stepped gable with
volutes and ball finials, segmental-headed dormer window left,
third floor with sash windows set between pilasters rising
from string, second floor segmental-headed sash windows with
linked entablature, zinc canopy with pierced pelmet to first
floor French casement windows, wrought-iron balustrade to
balcony carried on shaped brackets, square-headed sash windows
to ground floor, Ionic pilaster doorcase of terracotta third
bay left, tripartite fanlight, double doors with diamond
pattern glazing approached by flight of steps with cast-iron
railings.
