House in row, shop and workshop. C17 rear wing to earlier
block remodelled in late C18. Flemish bond brick, but
timber-framed rear wall, tile roof, brick stacks.
3 storeys and basement, 2-windowed. 12-pane sashes to deep
flush stone lintels and stone cills, at ground floor plain
sashes in painted brickwork, basement grille. To right is
6-panel door in broad timber-frame giving to throughway with
entrance to property. Coped parapet, 2 stacks to right, and
further end gable stack to rear wing which is mainly brick,
but has remnants of timber-framing on W wall.
INTERIOR includes various beams, a timber-framed back wall,
and tight brick plus timber spiral stair to basement with
brick floor and very heavy joists. This is a very
characteristic combination of historic elements in a
Tewkesbury town house, but still maintained as workshop,
dwelling and shop.
