Summerhouse. Early C18. Red brick with some flared panels,
slate roof, brick end stack to rear. 1-unit plan.
1-storey, 3-bay front. Front overlooks town to south and has
central panelled door with fanlight in doorway with
round-arched head and imposts. Doorway is flanked by large
12-pane sash windows with flat-arched heads. Plinth, raised
brick panel with feet above doorway, and blank sunk panels
above windows. Cornice band, stone-coped brick parapet and
shaped pediment concealing roof. Pediment has blank circular
sunk panel. Sunk panels are in header bond and largely made up
of flared headers. At either end of parapet the limestone
bases of former ball finials.
INTERIOR: fireplace with hob grate of c1800. Built-in shelving
either side of fireplace, and moulded plaster cornice.
