Hotel. Late C18 with late C19 rear wings, one converted to dwellings in early C21. Painted roughcast probably over limestone rubble with painted stone dressings; slate roof with brick stacks. Double-depth plan with extensive wings to right and left of rear courtyard. Two storeys, five-window range. First floor windows have pediments on plain consoles; left window is tripartite 6/6-pane sash; second from left, over porch, is C20 French window; centre and inside right are 6/6-pane sashes; far right has 8/8-pane sash above c1960 shop front with canted bay window. Inside right is a carriage entrance through to rear courtyard; centre has a 6/6-pane sash window with moulded architrave; inside left has a wide Doric-style porch with paired columns, and railings to balcony above; far left is 6/6-pane tripartite sash window with moulded architrave.
