Public House and Restaurant. C17 extended in C18 and restored in C20. Timber framed with colourwashed brick cladding below, rendered above, painted tile hung gables to plain tiled roofs; hipped on rear. Rear valley stack to left and stacks to left side. Originally two houses joined and extended at right angles to street, one storey and attic under two gabled casement dormers with ridge cresting, flat roofed single storey extension to ground floor. Leaded casement windows to ground floor, one three-light and two single light windows to centre and left of centre, curved eight-light shop window to ground floor left. Boarded extension to ground floor right with ribbed door to left end.

Left hand return front:- (street front) - projecting C19 front across ground floor with two 21 pane shop windows to centre and right, one 15 pane window to left. Part glazed doors to right and left ends.

Interior:- Some traces of original framing remain although much altered.

Included only for group value as a prominent building adjoining the Village pond and centre.
