- metres west of the tower of The
Church of St James

Headstone. Dated 1791 in memory of John Hill. Hamstone ashlar. Upright slab
standing approximately 1.2 metres high. Its shaped head is carved with an hourglass
flanked by winged cherub's heads and scrolls. Below a rectangular frame is carved
with foliage. Inscription in cursive italic lettering records the death of John Hill
in 1791.
