Terrace of 4 houses. c1890. By Edward Ould for Theodore
Mander. Painted brick with tile-hung 1st floor; half-hipped
tile roof, timber-framed central gable with enriched
bargeboards and brick stacks. Vernacular Revival style. Single
storey with attic; 5-window range with gable facing to centre.
Ground floor has windows with small-paned casements and board
shutters with strap hinges; 1st floor has gabled dormers with
leaded casements; late C20 casements to central gable. End
entrances have canopies swept out from 1st floor tile hanging
and battened doors; central through way has flanking gabled
glazed porches with pierced bargeboards and altered doors; 2
cross-axial stacks. Rear dormers. Part of a village planned
for the Wightwick Manor (q.v.) estate, but not completed.
