House. C15 with C16 and C17 extensions to ends, altered in C19. Timber framed
exposed with whitewashed brick infill to front, tile hung above on left hand
return front. Rendered coved eaves to plain tiled hipped roof with gablets.
Rendered ridge stack to left of centre and end ridge stack on wing to left.
Former Hall House. L shape plan with wing of right angles to left. 2 storeys,
3 framed bays to main wing with massive brackets to upright posts at eaves height.
Square panel framing on projecting wing to left. 3 diamond pane leaded casement
windows across first floor, C20 square bay on brackets under hipped roof to ground
floor right. Tudor style arched ribbed door to left of centre in brick and rubble
pent roof C20 porch placed in re-entrant angle of wings. Double ribbed garage
door to right end under hipped roof. Pent roof extension to left end. Right hand
return front:- Two C17 diamond mullion 4-light openings to first floor. Left
hand return front:- Regular 3 windowed front with casement fenestration. Central
ribbed door in gabled porch.
Interior: Roof of former hall with massive tie beam central truss and braces,
short octagonal carved Crown post. Early board panelling exposed ceiling frames
and deep fireplace.
