18.2.71 Stone Rubble Outbuildings
to West of Shaw House
GV II
Stables and loft, now a small factory. Mid C19. Rubble stone
with flush quoins and stone dressings. Steeply pitched plain
tile roof with brick dentilled eaves band. Two storeys and
three bays. Central plank door below plain lintel has fixed
small pane windows, with louvred vents to base, below similar
lintels, on either side. Beyond to east there is a similar
doorcase into an alley through the building. Above there is a
central 3-light horizontal sliding glazing bar sash flanked by
similar 2-light sashes. Interior has six original stables and
the loft above has a king post truss with side struts. Included
for group value only.
