Water mill and house, now store and house. Mill late C19 on earlier
foundations. House added in later C19 or early C20. Mill red brick in
Flemish bond to ground floor with grey bricks introduced towards top,
first floor bended red and grey brick in English bond. Stone walls to
north-east and south-west corners. House red and grey brick in a mixed
bond. Plain tile roofs. Mill with house added to left. Mill approximately
2 storeys and attics, house 1½ storeys. Stone plinth to mill. House has
gable end stack to left and ridge stack towards right. Small gabled dormer
with finial to mill. Irregular fenestration of two 8-pane pivoting
casements to mill. Three 2-light casements to house with eaves carried into
gable above each. 24-pane horizontally-sliding sash with segmental head to
ground floor of mill. Moulded brick architraves and segmental heads to
ground-floor windows of house. Boarded door to each floor towards right end
of mill. Half-glazed door between left and central windows of house.
Overshot waterwheel to rear of mill. Interior not inspected. Mill said to
contain machinery. Included for group value.
