1898 by George B Clegg of Morley. Pair of semi-detached houses in
coarsed stone with ashlar dressings and slate roof. Two storeys, with
three-storeyed pedimented projections. Bracketted eaves - and pediment -
cornices, the base of the pediment broken by a round-headed window fronted
by semi-circular shell-pattern balcony with iron railing. Rectangular
plate-glass windows to ground and first floor. Round-headed doorways with
enriched pediments on brackets. No. 36 has two-storeyed three-quarter
octagon bay window with pepperpot roof.

Interior of No. 36 has painted decorations by students at Leeds College
of Art on several of the doors and ceilings, together with lincrusta
dado and stained glass windows, to entrance and staircase hall and many
other original fittings in plaster, woodwork, tiling and marble.
