House. C15 and rebuilt in part early C17. Timber framed and rendered with
painted brick on left return with plain tiled roof. Wealden hall house plan in
origin. Two storeys with continuous jetty in 3 levels. Hipped roof with
gablets and stacks to right and projecting and offset at end left. Five
wooden casements on first floor with 3 light mullioned and transomed window
on ground floor to left and 2 four light bays to centre and to right. Rib and stud
door in four centred arched surround to left. Basement opening to right. Interior;
smoke blackened crown post roof. End left bay rebuilt C17 when the hall was
floored in. C16 and C18 rear wings.
