Terrace of seven almshouses, 1772. Red brick with ashlar
dressings. Plain tile roof, stone coped gables with plain
kneelers. Brick gable stacks and three ridge stacks. Chamfered
plinth, angle quoins and moulded cornice. Two storeys.
Symmetrical west elevation of 1-1-4 bays, the centre bay
advanced and pedimented. The centre bay has a C20 gabled brick
porch not of special interest, flanked by wooden cross windows
under wedge brick lintels. To the left, a doorway, two windows,
two doorways and a window. Mirror image to right. All under
wedge brick lintels. The doors have three triangular headed
panels and the windows are cross casements. Nine similar
windows above. In the pediment a stone panel inscribed with the
date 1772 and the dedication.
