Farmhouse. 1677 and later. Coursed squared sandstone, rendered
brick. Welsh slate and machine tile roof. Rendered gable
stacks. T-plan. Two storeys and attics. Chamfered plinth,
plain first and second floor bands, dentil eaves cornice. Broad
three-bay north elevation has central early C19 ashlar doorcase
with pilasters and hoodmould. Raised and fielded panelled door
and traceried rectangular overlight. Flanked by broad 3-light
segment headed windows with C20 casements. Two similar windows
above flanking a similar 2-light window. Three blind horizontal
panels above again, in line with the windows. Central
pedimented gable with C20 casement window. The rear wing has to
the west a C19 canted bay window and re-set datestone of 1677
above. To the east is a brick lean-to ground floor, not of
special interest, and two large wooden cross windows above. On
the return south wall is a blocked 2-light stone mullion window
with moulded surround. to the south is an ashlar basement with
a 2-light recessed and chamfered mullion window and the remains
of a second similar window. Interior: Early C19 stick baluster
staircase. Remains of C17 panelling in the hall. Two early C19
chimneypieces.
