Probable former market house. 1865 refronting of early C19 house by Henry Rice. Rubble with granite dressings; roof not visible; triangular pediment with modillions to front. Classical style. Two storeys plus attic; three-window range. Round-headed twelve-pane horned sashes; mid-floor string over C20 shop front. Remains of arch springing on left suggests original arrangement of three arches to ground floor.
