GV II*

House. Early C18. Brick; Welsh slate roof; brick end stacks.
3-storeys and attic; 5-window range: 6/6 sashes with cambered
heads and broad glazing bars under gauged brick segmental
arches with painted stone key blocks and moulded sill-band;
similar fenestration over; moulded stone cornice and eaves; 2
gable-dormers with 3/6 sashes with broad glazing-bars and
cambered heads, and moulded wood eaves. To right, 6
fielded-panel door and fanlight in round-headed case, under
moulded open pediment hood on fluted consoles and moulded
pilasters; to left, four 6/6 sashes, in moulded cases, over
sill-band. The overall fenestration is a rare survival of
original frames with much early glass. Left return of rubble
with brick flues. To rear: brick upper storey with C20 lights
in C19 frames under segmental arches, in timber-framed panel.
Further 2-storey rubble wing (Russell House) to rear with C20
light and 8/8 sash to first floor, and through passage under
brick segmental arch.
