BROMFIELD

SO47NE High Walton Farmhouse
825-1/4/23

House. C17 and mid C19. Timber-frame and render; stone rubble;
painted brick; plain tile roof; two C19 spurred ridge stacks.
T-shaped plan with C19 wings. 2-storeys; 4-window range: three
C20 casements in semi dormers, and one C19, 2-light mullion
with cast-iron lattice glazing under simple hood; spike
finials to gables. Central C20 half glazed door with moulded
architrave, in C19 porch; flanked by C19 cross-windows with
metal glazing bars, with 3-light mullion with cast-iron
lattice glazing to left. Left returned side has various
casements, and C20 porch. Gables restored C20. INTERIOR: C19
winder staircase; chamfered ceiling beams, and exposed posts
and timber-framing, to ground floor.
